Rangeview and Ute Trails
Darby's Top Reasons to Love this Hike:
-
Take either Rangeview out (from the Tenderfoot entrance) or Ute out and the other trail returns to the parking lot.
-
Beautiful views of the Indian Peaks Wilderness to the Northwest, Boulder to the East, and Flatirons to the South.
-
Hike to the Sunrise Circle Amphitheatre, overlooking downtown Boulder. You can also view this gorgeous stone structure by driving directly to it (continue onward from the Realization Point Parking area).
-
Short hike (1.2 miles total roundtrip) to the Boy Scout Trail. The BoyScout Trail does not allow dogs at all, so turn around and circle back. Be sure to check out the Flagstaff Nature Center to learn more about the flora and fauna and history of the area.
