Doudy Draw
Darby's Favorite Reason's to Love this Hike:
-
Gorgeous views of the south end of the Boulder Flatirons and the mesa.
-
Share the road with bikes (watch out for the weekends, it gets crowded). Even though the trail is off leash, this hike is best when it's not too busy.
-
Connects east to the Community Ditch Trail, about .4 miles in. Make a left and follow the Community Ditch Trail to Hwy 93. You can continue and cross under the highway to connect to the Greenbelt Plateau (1.8 miles each way), and to the Coal Seam/Marshal Mesa Loop (3.6 miles round trip). Map can be found here.
-
Connects west another .7 miles, split right (west) to continue towards the Flatirons to the Springbrook Loop (dogs on leash on the Springbrook north trail) (2.2 mile round trip), and Goshawk Ridge NO DOGS/BIKES (3 miles round trip). Another split left towards the Flatirons Vista Loop (4 miles). Map can be found here.
-
See if you can spot song birds, mule deer, birds of prey, and coyote. Some parts of the trail have stricter leash laws seasonally because of black bear activity. Dog regulation map
