Neko's favorite Reasons to Love this Hike:

Flat, open space trail, great for the cooler months for the maximum amount of sunshine. View of the Boulder Flatirons and Rocky Mountains in the distance.
Walk around the reservoir for 1.6 miles (part of trail is closed from April1-August 31 for the seasonal osprey Nests), or around the open space to connect to the Open Sky Loop for up to 4.9 miles.
Non-morotrized boating is allowed on the reservoir, so bring your paddle boards and kayaks (don't forget your life jackets,, especially for your four-legged friends). Fishing is allowed too!
