Betasso Preserve

Darby’s Top Reasons to Love this Hike:

1) A mixture of trees and open fields.
2) We saw Albert’s Squirrels and Mule Deer, good thing I was on a leash!

3) Close to Boulder and not very crowded. Go Wednesday or Saturday because there are no bikes allowed those days.

4) Views of CU campus.

5) My owner always says the wildflowers are pretty, I just think they smell great.

Round Trip Length: Canyon Loop is 3.3 miles, another .75 miles connector to Benjamin Loop for another 2.4 miles Also, if you are up for an advanced challenge try the Betasso Link for 1.3 miles to the bottom of the hill at Canyon Rd. 
Start and End Elevation: Low elevation changes on the Canyon Loop.

Bikes: Yes, no bikes Saturday or Wednesday

Directions: From Boulder: go west on Canyon to Sugarloaf Mountain, make a right and go until Betasso, make a right. There are 2 parking lots, west and east.
