Darby's Favorite Reasons to love this Hike:

  1. Easy 3 mile loop through the pine and Douglas fir covered forest, the open valley, and flat wetlands. 
  2. It was known as the Ute Trail for traveling native Americans for many years.
  3. Open to walking, biking, snow shoeing, horse back riding, and picnicking.

Directions:

9509 County Hwy 73-Evergreen:
Travel south from Evergreen on County Highway 73 for 6.8 miles to the main trail head entry road. From US Highway 285 at Aspen Park, take Barkley Road to County Highway 73. Turn north and travel to the main trail head entrance. Alternative parking is available on Shadow Mountain Drive at Highway 73
