Fresh pineapple contains a proteolytic enzyme, bromelain, which helps breaks down protein. Loaded with vitamin C, it is a great fruit of choice for it's high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
If you buy a fresh whole pineapple: Cuts the ends off with a sharp serated knife. Carefully, cut the skin off. Cut the pinepple in half longways. Cut each half into half longways again. You should have a pointed triangular piece that is the core. Slice that off too, it is too hard to eat. Cut the rest of the corners for the other 3 pieces. Now, chop into large bite-sized pieces. You may also pre-cut pineapple from the store for easier preparation. Use only 1/2 cup per 2 servings.
Combine all the ingredients together in a high speed blender, like a VitamixTM or NutribulletTM. Pour into glasses and serve. Enjoy!
