Cantaloupe Cucumber Smoothie

Summertime smoothie when the cantaloupe and cucumbers are in season. Keep everything in the refrigerator until ready to use.



For 2 people ()


  • 1/2 cup(s) fresh cantaloupe
  • 1 small, or 1/2 medium cucumber
  • 1/2 head of lettuce or spinach
  • 10 cashews, raw
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon(s) fresh basil or mint
  • 1/2 cup(s) water or green tea
Preparation time

Cantaloupe Cucumber Smoothie Directions

  1. Cut the cantaloupe in half. With a paring knife, closely peel the outer layer, until you are past the green flesh, into the orange flesh. Shave it closely, so you don't waste any. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Cut into chunks.
  2. Peel the cucumber and cut lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Cut into chunks.
  3. Mix together in a blender, until smooth: spinach or mixed greens, chunks cantaloupe, cucumber, avocado, cashews, mint or basil, water or green tea, and ice if needed. Enjoy!
